About CheeksBourbon
There’s an old saying, “Cheeky Monkey.” While its origins may be unclear, in our family it had a very specific meaning. If you took the last beer from the fridge or the final pour from a bottle, our father would laugh and say, “Ah! You cheeky monkey!” That phrase—and the spirit behind it—stuck with us.
In 2019, just as the bourbon boom was gaining momentum, our family opened a gifted bottle of Booker’s from the 1990s. What began as a shared drink quickly grew into a passion for enjoying bourbon neat, collecting bottles, and learning the stories behind them.
Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2025, and Cheek’s Bourbon Review was born—a place to share honest reviews, memorable bourbon stories, and our genuine love for the craft.
